The future of Alfred Brown in the Korean market

The future of Alfred Brown in the Korean market

We were delighted to host the youngest member of the Alfred Brown family, Sam Brown, in his most recent visit to the Korean market. Over the last five years the partnership with Grimm International has increased sales in Korea for Alfred Brown tenfold, a remarkable and industry-leading achievement that many have tried (and failed) to emulate.

The main reason for the visit was to touch base with our many tailors, allowing them to express their requirements directly to a generational British manufacturer. Weave, weight and style were very much the topics of the day and Mr Brown will be taking these inspirational ideas back to Britain for consideration in the mill's future projects.

Despite the recent bumps with the Korean economy at large, Alfred Brown has remained a staple of quality fabric at the right price, and as such we're pleased to say that sales remain strong with a steady appetite for British traditions and style. Such is our confidence in the Korean market that we are getting the market ready for new bunches that will be launched in the new year, including the exciting Golden House Range.

We have many more exciting projects in the works for 2025, and we will be delighted to introduce Alfred Brown to any manufacturers or tailors from Korea who will be attending Unica in February.
