Alumo's history began when a mill was founded in 1918 by Carl Albrecht under his name.
His mill contained 48 looms, and was the beneficiary of Switzerland's outstanding - advances in spinning and weaving technology.
By the time the mill was handed over to his son in 1927, the mill had grown to 84 looms, and when Robert Morgen joined the company in 1941, the owners amalgamated their surnames to create a new brand; Alumo.
From the 1950's onwards, the company has been renowned for specialising in the very finest cotton fabrics for shirts, summoning their considerable artisanal skills to create patterns that lead the way in the fashion industry today.
